OBJECTIVES:
- Become acquainted with the many areas of everyday life in which one can potentially apply PAUSE.
LET THESE PAUSE SESSIONS BE A GIFT from Inspiration to You. Tailor these sessions to your life by applying THE PAUSE to all the many aspects of your life. That is how you will experience the true value of PAUSE. That is how you will receive the help you need and be inspired how to help others.
APPLYING THE PAUSE TO YOUR LIFE
PAUSE IS HELPFUL WHEN you let it help you! You let PAUSE help you when you choose to apply it. As you receive help, you recognize how the help given you is being shared with others in ways seen and unseen. Apply PAUSE with:
- Communications
- Relationships
- Activities
- Situations
- Circumstances
We will never be given more Inspiration than we can handle
in any given moment!
PAUSE with YOUR COMMUNICATIONS
HOW WE CONVEY OUR FEELINGS, thoughts, and ideas to others can cause communication FOG, FIZZLE, or FULLNESS. Apply PAUSE with:
- Conversations In-Person
- Conversations via phone and video
- Writing Emails
- Texting
- Nonverbal communication: pausing or not pausing can affect our eye contact, facial expressions, and the quality and appropriateness of our touch. It is said that 90% of our communication is nonverbal.
Listening required pausing within your own mind, thinking,
Feelings and acting – do not miss out on what is being
Said – truly respond versus a habitual reaction.
PAUSE with YOUR RELATIONSHIPS
You Are Worth A Pause. Everyone Is Worth A Pause.
WE ARE IN MORE RELATIONSHIPS than we may realize! Simple exchanges with the grocery store clerk, the auto repair shop, the mail clerk, and the guy making our tacos are relationships. We relate to many people all throughout a typical day. Plus, we have:
- Family: immediate and extended
- Friends
- Coworkers
- Neighbors
- Groups we belong to
- Acquaintances
- Potential Connections
HOW ARE WE CONNECTING or disconnecting from one another? A lot of relationships need healing.
Healing is moving from an experience of
disconnection into an experience of connection
APPLYING PAUSE IN RELATIONSHIPS to learn how you are relating and connect with inner Wisdom to learn truly helpful ways to relate. Begin seeing the quality of your relationships improve. Observe the wise shifts that can transpire.
PAUSE with YOUR ACTIVITIES
Life is a series of moments. How’s your moment going?
HURRYING, AVOIDING, DREADING, INEFFICIENCY, mistakes, and injury can all be lessened when you apply PAUSE. Being present in any activity is a more enjoyable experience no matter what the activity. There’s a greater sense of being in the flow of life rather than resisting life.
PAUSE with:
- Work tasks
- Household To-Do
- Studying
- Errands
- Eating
- Exercise
- Scheduling
- Creating
YOUR DAILY ROUTINE can sometimes feel meaningless. Yet, as we apply PAUSE, we can open to something more, even extraordinary, in the ordinariness of the mundane.
PAUSE with SITUATIONS
A SITUATION IS A STATE OF AFFAIRS one is in that is directly under one’s control. For example:
- My body position
- Cleanliness of my dwelling
- Employed or unemployed
- Financial decisions
- Health choices
- Whom I spend time with
- How I spend my time
APPLYING PAUSE CAN HELP US SEE that we are making more choices than we may realize. We are not the victim that we think we are or put ourselves out there as. We have choices and control over a lot of things in our lives. We are deciding and choosing all the time. Pause for awareness of inner Wisdom before making decisions and choices.
Do not exclude anything just because you think you
have it under control, it is not important enough, or PAUSE
does not apply. Inspired Help applies to everything and everyone.

PAUSE with CIRCUMSTANCES
CIRCUMSTANCES SPEAK MORE to those things over which we have no control. For example, the weather, the economy, the water getting shut off for street repair, wars in foreign countries, the time, delays at the airport, etc.
APPLYING PAUSE TO CIRCUMSTANCES can help to ease our minds in these moments in which we have no control over outer events. We can have control over inner events or our state of mind, our perceptions. Practicing PAUSE, for example, may show me that even though my car repair is taking two hours longer than expected (circumstance), I can listen to inner Inspiration about how to spend these two hours in a helpful way, rather than fret.
We have situations and circumstances and snafu’s up the wazoo!
Talk about a hemorrhoid. OUCH!
