OBJECTIVES:
- Describe the “cubicle self”.
- Explain the core experience of the cubicle self.
- List traits of how you experience the cubicle self.
BE NOT AFRAID. Do not fear pausing from yourself a moment. Enjoy a break from whomever it is doing all of this ongoingness. Do not worry, you can return again and again to this cubicle self who is in inconsistent ongoingness—and inevitably you will do so. The cubicle self is not to be confused, even in its better moments, with our True Nature—your Inspired Self.
CUBICLE SELF? HAS A MISSION?
YEAH, I PRETTY MUCH AIM FOR THE STATUS QUO—WOE, WOE, WOE. MY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ARE FOCUSED ON KEEPING ALL THE CUBICLES IN THEIR PLACE. DO NOT STEP OUT OF THE CUBICLE! CHANGE AND ADVANCEMENT ARE ACCEPTABLE AS LONG AS THEY REMAIN IN THE CUBICLE. PERMISSION SLIPS SIGNED BY YOUR CUBICLE SELF ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY SUCH CHANGES OR ADVANCEMENTS.
I (your cubicle self) will undoubtedly, eventually bring you
DISPIRITEDNESS, but THAT’S LIFE. Right?
SO, CAN I SIGN YOU UP?
PAUSE IS ABOUT BREAKING FREE of the cubicle self! Not about changing YOUR cubicle self; IT IS ABOUT RECOGNIZING YOUR INSPIRED SELF MAYBE FOR THE FIRST TIME! AHH, FREEDOM . . .
YOUR CUBICLE SELF IS THE PART OF YOU THAT feels boxed in, and sometimes alone and separate from others. The part of you that feels less than, in need of constant improvement, but no matter how much you strive there’s always more to change about yourself. The cubicle self is often that loud, usually first to speak into your mind “voice”. It never feels good enough, on the right page, ruled by fear, afraid to speak up, confused, low achiever, OR one’s cubicle self can come across as arrogant, a know-it-all, high achiever, accomplished, successful in the world’s eyes, stubborn, and/or needs to be right.
