. . . Pause for Your Worthiness
OBJECTIVES:
- Name why the cubicle self is hiding.
- Describe what unworthiness can cause.
- Reflect on your sense of unworthiness and worthiness.
NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT this cubicle self is hiding a deep sense of unworthiness. This may sound silly. On the surface, I may not feel “unworthy”, but this sense of being “less than”, not valuing ourselves, and others, is something we can be completely unaware of, or not. This gnawing sense that something’s not right or the need to chase after this, that, and the other thing to fill up the emptiness inside, comes and goes, but as time goes by, it tends to stay! Unworthiness can drive our decision-making and life choices having devastating effects. Causing difficulty concentrating, depression, anxiety, relationship upheaval, inefficiency at work, unhelpful habits, boredom, seeking meaning in meaningless places, and, well, you know the story.
A life unlived.
Pause is a Present HOPE.
HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH? No, don’t go running to your 401Ks stocks, bonds, CDs, money markets, real estate, bank accounts—all that. The question is not how much is your net worth. The question is HOW MUCH ARE YOU WORTH?
