365 Pause Practices – Day 92
Remember Being A Kid?
Sometimes I feel like a kid ~ for better or for worse!
Childhood. Sure, some of it we would just as soon forget.
I REMEMBER:
summer breezes in my hair on my bike flying down a hill
smelling my mother’s authentic Italian cooking
splashing our bare feet in the puddles after the rain
waiting at the front door for my dad to get home late from his second job
family trips to the local dairy ~ ice cream cones & milk in glass bottles
raking leaves with my father
exploring the woods ~ hiding under the weeping willow
WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER ABOUT BEING A KID?
How about feeling stuck, angry, embarrassed, shy, bullied, left out????
As adults, we can still feel these feelings.
Not only does PAUSE share KIDS CAN PAUSE with kids,
I also recommend this super simple practice to adults ~
for those times when the kid in us needs guidance.

What Will Today’s Kids Remember?
I don’t think I am being sentimental in this question. I am not wanting kids today to have my idea of childhood. I am wanting kids today to have a childhood.
Being a child is hands-on, digging into life, wondering, asking questions, exploring what’s right in front of you. . . I recognize kids are exploring the internet, but isn’t something missing?
And what about feelings?
