Scrooge or Clarence?

In the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life” we meet Mr. Potter, Bedford Fall’s town
Scrooge, and Clarence, George’s guardian angel. A stark contrast indeed! Mr.
Potter is desperate to manufacture a worldly life that is all about satisfying his
vampire-sucking greed. Of course, he simply moved away from his True Self,
which we all do. Thankfully, HOPE IS NEVER LOST! Then there’s Clarence
who is WILLING TO RISE ABOVE THE NOISE and CLAIM THE PEACE THE
WORLD CAN NOT GIVE. Clarence’s goal is to remember his True Self!
He feels PEACE on the inside, expresses it, and gives it away.

What a WONDERFUL illustration of the “cubicle mind/me-character” versus
an Inspired Mind. Not suggesting that we become guardian angels,
but rather become aware, in a pause, of which way we are leaning ~
Dispiriting or Inspiring?

AM I CARRYING AROUND a shrinking heart?

AM I WILLING TO LET MY INSPIRED HEART BE A LIGHT?
LEND A HELPING HAND?

Mr. Potter “lives” in a RESTLESS MIND of his own making.

Clarence is truly living FINDING REST in an
UNWAVERING, UNCEASING PEACE.

Mr. Potter sucking the blood out of people.
Clarence emanating LOVE and GENEROSITY.

Hmm, would I rather be RESTLESS and DISTURBING
PEOPLE’S PEACE
or
FINDING and SHARING REST ON ANY ORDINARY DAY?

We will run up against the cubicle heart of Scrooge,
be it in ourselves, others, situations, and the world,
but we can always CHOOSE TO PAUSE for ANOTHER HEART,
ANOTHER WAY ~ THE WAY OF PEACE.

There is a Peace the world can not give
available to us all. We need not understand This Peace,
nor is This Peace require our understanding.
Simply, our acceptance.

So, it is my HOPE FOR US ALL TODAY and every day,
that we are willing to ~

PAUSE FOR INSPIRATION
PAUSE FOR WISDOM
PAUSE FOR PEACE,
PAUSE FOR LOVE.

Like Clarence, we may not know exactly how this all will transpire and
how it will take shape.
We may be quite surprised by how we begin to see people and situations differently because of our PEACE OF MIND. Or, we may be
directed to help others in ways seen and unseen. Simply being willing to step back from our critical judgments of others, and SEE their True Self for them when they forget,
is a GIFT BEYOND MEASURE.

That’s how ENTHUSIASM FOR LIFE grows on the inside!

Becoming awestruck children again, our
hearts peering into the night sky ~ on the
lookout for the JOY being reflected within
us.

Pausing, listening, and following the inner
promptings of Peace.

Enthusiastically Absorbed In PEACE.
