Pause Practice ~ Wave of Newness
Wave of Newness
Have you ever opened into an experience of total freedom? A lapse in time
and space in which
suddenly everything is New?
Driving down Forsyth on my way home, I remember listening to a tune on the
radio one moment then merging into a Wave of Newness in which everything
within my vision became more than its form. I saw the shapes, faces, and
colors, except now the Whole was more than the sum of it’s parts.
Two young college-aged men waiting to cross the street caught my eye
and now their playful laughter also belonged to me, we belonged to
each other.
There was no difference between us, no division in the space we shared,
no time to keep watch over.
I found a Wave that I had never surfed before, never surfed at all.
This Ultimate Wave lifted me out of an ordinary day, a repetitive mindset.
What was once a long-lost memory became a
Wave of Wonder.
I had been feeling down for a few days when this happened, but staying open
to what the Pause motions us to ask,
“Is there Another Way to see this?”
and
“What would be truly helpful now?”
