365 Pause Practices – Day 21
ONE – TO – ONE – NOW!
This may seem an odd topic really, but in my Morning Pause I began to remember the women I have seen from a distance, in the car next to me at a red light, walking down the street, in restaurants sitting across from a spouse/partner whom is not even aware….I remember seeing women crying.
Their tears bring a reminder to me that though sometimes we feel alone, we are never alone. There is a LOVE that loves us, no matter what, always, unwavering, forever. This LOVE often loves us through one another as we are willing to express this LOVE.
In my Morning Pause as I ask for guidance for today’s email, I hear the words, “Women Crying.” In their tears I remember the tears I have cried in life’s trying times, unexpected circumstances, and simply over the human condition – one of suffering, grief, and heartache. Yet, thankfully, within our experience of our humanness and humanity, HOPE is offered us in one another.
PAUSE IS A PRESENT HOPE
as it is in our Pause Practice that we can recognize
that we are here for one another, one-to-one,
in the midst of everyday life….Now!
This is my mom. She came into my mind while composing this email as she was an example for me as one sees people and pauses for them.
Thanks, Mom.
She Is Worth A Pause
So, as I see a woman crying, or even pass by a woman
in the grocery store whom I can tell is “on the verge”,
I pause. My chatterbox mind wants to get on with my day,
so, I pause again and call upon LOVE whose knowing of her
heart is certain, and I entrust her to LOVE.
One-to-one, we are blessed
in ways seen and unseen.
