365 Pause Practices Day 363

Grateful For No Reason

Mary Shares

Ahh, the feeling of IMMENSE GRATITUDE!!! Remember this feeling? It’s more
than a feeling really. More of a STEADY FLOW of PEACE, JOY, and BEING FREE
all stirred together creating SOMETHING MORE than the sum of the parts.

Do you remember an experience of GRATITUDE?

How did you feel?
What brought it on?
Has it been a while?

It’s not even that I am making a list of who or what I am thankful for, though
certainly, all this is a part of this Vast Gratitude.

How did this happen? How did this arrive?

EXPANDING, EXPANDING, EXPANDING GRATITUDE
I decided to take an extended pause. Try it >

“Nothing baffles

Inspiration. It extends
peace constantly in all
directions in every way
needed by each and every
heart. No willing mind
will be left unturned by PEACE.”

LEAN INTO A PAUSE
a practice

Give yourself permission to pause.
Leave all gadgets in another room.
Sit down in a quiet spot where you will not be disturbed.
(Put a sign on the door if you have to).
Now rest in a pause for 5 ~ 10 minutes.
If it helps, focus on your breath.
Invite a sense of Peace into the room
with you.

Allow a sense of spaciousness to enter your awareness.
Perhaps recall a prior experience of openness,
freedom, and relaxation to help get you started if that helps.

Give yourself some space.
As worries show up in your mind and
upsetting feelings, release them into PEACE.
Loosen your grasp. Rest.
Passing thoughts about nothing that can be distracting will arise;
Simply return to pausing.

Pause from judging yourself about how your pausing is going.
Just pause.
~
Congratulate yourself for pausing as a way to care for yourself and
others! Give thanks to PEACE for being present with you, whether you were
aware of PEACE or not.

Repeat as often as you know is helpful for you. Consider a daily Pause Practice.

After practicing this for a couple of weeks, I began noticing being filled with
GRATITUDE. A depth and breadth of GRATITUDE RENEWING MY MIND.
I couldn’t even tell you what it is I am grateful for ~ LOLOLOL

Grateful for no reason.
