Pause Light ~ Both Feet In
Both Feet In
Sharing by Mary ~ Serenity and Sanity
I began this new year with a truly eye-opening experience.
An experience, that I can only call A MIRACLE!
If I choose to fully receive this miracle so that I may live it,
it guarantees daily serenity and sanity.
In a moment of inner turmoil, I feel nagged by the sense of an inner divide.
Do you ever feel divided?
I decide to pause for help and ask This Inner Wisdom whose Light has
clarified things for me before, “What is this turmoil about?” I hear the following:
“Mary, you have one foot in your life and one foot out of your life. One foot
out the door in the world invested in ego plans, and one foot in
Inspiration in the LIFE that TRULY IS YOUR LIFE.”
Immediately I knew this was true. One foot out as an escape hatch!
It’s crazy! It explains this experience of an inner divide, feeling split if you will,
and as a result, dissatisfied. So, we seek “fulfillment” elsewhere. Perhaps in a different
job or situation, a distracting activity, a new “commitment”, or
maybe another path altogether.
Even while knowing from experience that most of the time none of these alternatives
bring anything except bewilderment and the return of the inner divide.
WHERE DO YOU HAVE ONE FOOT OUT THE DOOR?
Is your “Yes” actually more of a “Maybe”?
The part of the mind in the dark has conditioned us that if we approach
relationships (of all kinds), careers, jobs, activities,
new endeavors, our health, etc. with one foot out the door,
this supposedly allows us to
keep all our options open giving us “freedom” to change our mind.
I can bail out and do things my way as often as I like based on fleeting emotions.
These are the lines of the cubicle mind to which we fall prey.
All the while I am not free at all.
Far from it.
WITH A PAUSE FOR PEACE OF MIND, instead of falling through the gap of an
inner divide, I can bask in SERENITY and SANITY ~ Peace.
This Peace is not the result of my understanding.
This Peace is the fruit of taking that foot that is out the door,
joining it with your other foot, and placing
Both Feet In the Wisdom of Inspiration.
It’s a practice in TRUST! One step at a time.
