Pause Practice ~ Are you Spontaneous?
Inspired Spontaneity!
I experience Inspired Spontaneity as letting Love, Wisdom, Peace, and
Joy move through me and be expressed in the moment, sharing This
Love, Peace, Wisdom, and Joy with others while living everyday life.

Spontaneity, letting LIFE flow, is essential to how I experience my life.
How’s your spontaneity going?
I often decide to let to-do, schedules, responsibilities, and other people keep
me from expressing my Inspired Spontaneity. When I do,
everyday life becomes a total drag ~ UGH.
Inspired Spontaneity turns life into LIVING
What might happen if you let yourself be spontaneous?
LOOK at 3 ways to be spontaneous . . .
EXERCISE
Me: I need to exercise but don’t feel like it.
Inspiration: Mary, exercise doesn’t have to look like you think it does.
Spontaneity: I stepped outside in the evening sun and gentle breezes to enjoy
Qigong followed by asking John to join me on a walk as the sun was setting. The
following morning I played on the mini-trampoline for 20′ to begin my day.
WORK
Me: I received an email response from an educator asking several questions
that I, as an occupational therapist, had no clue how to answer. I felt
incompetent.
Inspiration: Mary, work doesn’t have to look the way you think it has to look.
Spontaneity: I walked away from the email rather than forcing a quick
response to get it done. I gave myself a pause and was later moved to respond.
I took one question at a time, followed Inspiration without judging what was
coming forward, and didn’t even notice I was sitting at a computer. Creativity
streamed out. Now, instead of beating myself up, I am enthusiastic about
possibilities.
HEALTH
Me: I hate aging! I am anxious about my body seemingly falling apart. I thought
I was taking care of myself. What more can I do?
Inspiration: Mary, if you keep this up you’re never going to be happy. Your
judgment of yourself and others is causing distress and is not a good use of the
Mind I gave you. That my dear is not what I want for you.
Spontaneity: In a pause I claim, I am not going to rely on my body which is
always changing, to feel Peace of Mind. I lean into LOVE. I have confidence in
LOVE’s plan for my life. I lay my body down at the feet of LOVE. I listen to LOVE
about what being healthy is for me now. I am willing to receive Inspiration about
how to care for my body by listening to inner Wisdom. “Peace I give you”, and so
I shall receive.
